  When we landed in Cairns and got our bags I called to phone number I was sent to organise the shuttle. I line was terrible, meaning I didn’t hear when I was asked to hold, I was told very rudely that I was asked to hold. The shuttle itself is very nice and the man driving was nice.
  The lady at the front desk at first was nice enough. We were told that a 20 year old cannot pay for the car hire even if it is for a 21 year old to drive. I cannot find this information anywhere on their website. She was apologetic. We were confused but asked her to cancel our booking and redo it so that the person driving could pay. She typed on her computer and then looked up to tell us our car had been booked in between her cancelling and trying to rebook, a total of at most three minutes. She suddenly became quite rude and dismissive. She asked us to take a seat while she tries to figure something out for us. After serving a group of other customers we stood up to talk to her. She seemed confused that we were still there.
  Thankfully I got a full refund, but I am put off completely from this company.

  Can't fault the service, picked up within 10 minutes of phone call at airport driver was fantastic. Had car ready and cooled down paperwork didn't take long and we were on our way. Drop off very easy quick inspection of the car and into the courtesy bus and at the airport shortly after. Price very competitive compared to your bigger names out there.

  Booking online was easy and at a reasonable price during peak holiday season. At time of writing, Covid-19 meant Queensland just closed it's borders to residents of Sydney, meaning we could no longer use our booking. The phone was answered promptly and the lady was quick and the refund process was started in under a few minutes. 5 stars for customer service. I have not used their cars however.

  As a travel agent, I always look for reputable companies when traveling. The team at East Coast Car Rental Cairns were amazing in providing prompt service despite how busy they are. The cars were modern, with bluetooth functionality and USB charging ports, and the cleanliness was second to none. I was very happy that the company has a system where they take photos of every part of the car and send it to you via email before you take the car so that there are no disputes about damage when you return the car because it is all documented and sent to you upfront. Highly recommend!

  Good price with rude staff, we were all waiting, but receptionists totally ignored us. Someone asked if the chatting two can help with booking, they said sure, but kept chatting and giggling, totally ignorance
