  My wife and another couple stayed at the Pullman International recently for 7 days. I was told by a staff member we could park at the front of the hotel, as long as we parked like the 9 other cars were,if we didn't double park. This we did, and were walking down the footpath on Abbot street, heading for a Restaurant booking when I was chased by a Manager (later found out to be a Trainee). He verbally abused our group loudly in front of a restaurant with patrons sitting and listening to his abuse, claiming we couldn't park there, and he was going to put a $12 parking fee on the room, demanding to know our room number. This was the first day, and set the tone for the rest of our stay. I'm 77 years old, and will not stand for some person in a dirty ill-fitting suit to abuse me publically. I spoke to the lady that presented herself as the Manager of the hotel, who didn't seem to be very interested in the incident. For a purported "5 start hotel, it is worn and tired. I do admit the rest of the Staff were very pleasant.
  In my opinion and experience the Management is lacking.

  Lovely hotel. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Casino, wildlife dome, bars and restaurants in complex, great day out....without leaving !

  Shame smoking is allowed on balconies. Can’t enjoy a nice evening on the balcony. Bar Team quite nice. Food’s clearly done by a good chef. Needs a reno for these rates.

  It’s very Nice Hotel in the heart of Cairns, my Friend book for me for the weekend, most everything is within walking distance. They also have parking spot which is very convenient.

  This is quite a nice hotel, an older one in need of a retouch of paint in some areas. The staff are professional and courteous. We received an upgrade for $20. Our room is 40sq metres and has magnificent views from the balcony. The pools are clean and nice, 1.5 metres deep and each has a warm spa attached. The location is good and carparking underneath is offered for $12 a day.
