  Amazing views, good sized room and a comfortable bed. I stayed 5 nights and was really happy with my stay. Room was clean and had a couch, coffee table and desk/table with a couple of chairs. Don't be put-off by all the comments about the hotel needing a refresh. A lot of hotels do need a refresh and a few old fashioned tiles in the bathroom is hardly worth worrying about when the room looks nice and the views are fantastic.

  Our group of 10 had five comfortable rooms. Ocean views from the 7th floor were great, the bed was comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and we could choose between a daily service or a small discount on the days we chose not to have a service. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the restaurant, and we also ate in for some evening meals. There are also some comfortable areas for sitting and chatting in the foyer.

  Awesome staff, super friendly and helpful. Thoroughly underrated, they deserve all the stars, elephant stamps and trophy's. Management needs to up their game and give housekeeping and maintenance a chop out. Room service is amazing.
  
  There's not enough time to do the room service and maintainace required. Vents, high cleaning and touch points need attention. A deep clean is required ,especially given the climate.
  
  Room service, staff quality, including housekeeping and maintenance made the difference. I'd stay again based on the customer experience alone. Genuinely attentive, caring and helpful.
  
  Give these good people a pay rise, more time to do their tasks and you'll be on a roll. My rating is based mostly on the staff. The location etc was okay, but less than expected.

  Older venue, very clean and comfortable. Room was larger and we'll set out. Shower over bath is a bit outdated and could be challenging for older or mobility limited customers. Staff were amazing and helpful at all levels. Breakfasts and meals were excellent. I would recommend this venue and the location on the Esplanade is great.

  Great location being a 10 minute walk from anywhere you want to be in Cairns. View was exceptional and the Bathroom superb. Room in general was basic but above average. Hotel is a little tired but very decent. Pool was great for the kids

  Near perfect. Clean and airy rooms. Stylish foyer. Great service. Good amenities. Not as close to local attractions but it is still conveniently walkable.

  The selection of buffet food was enough to ensure that there was something for everyone without it being that much that the food would sit around. Having the cooks in the centre of the room to cook on demand was also a winner. Reasonably priced as well. Left fill and contented.
